Volunteer: Front Desk Coverage

Volunteers can support our team by providing front desk coverage at our shelters, helping ensure daily operations continue smoothly while staff attend all-staff meetings and other important events. This role includes greeting guests, answering basic questions, and helping create a warm, welcoming environment for families and visitors.

All volunteers who will be interacting with families at our shelter are required to complete a background check.

Volunteer: Landscaping/Deep Cleaning

Volunteers can help create a welcoming and comfortable environment for families by supporting both indoor and outdoor shelter needs. Opportunities include general cleaning in common areas such as the kitchen, dining room, living room, and day center; outdoor projects like lawn mowing, pruning, mulching, weeding, planting, and pressure washing; and special projects such as painting offices, building furniture, or assisting with other facility improvements. When possible, volunteers are encouraged to provide their own supplies to help maximize impact.
